Institution created in 1969 with the name of Digital Research Center (CID), later Central Digital Research Institute (ICID), in order to develop
the first Cuban computer, which ends in 1970. In the mid-1980s, the ICID refocuses its principal activity to the design,
development, production and sales of medical devices, including the after-sales service activities for them. In 1995, COMBIOMED was created
as a commercial brand and marketing company of ICID. From 2012, ICID and COMBIOMED joined to the BioCubaFarma group,
which represents all companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical equipment and devices industry in Cuba.
In December 2018, ICID and COMBIOMED merged and the company COMBIOMED DIGITAL MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY, as a closed-cycle companies
